Our People – Kathrin Gebhardt
The Product Owner Behind Keystone’s Procedure Module
Driving Digital Well Planning with Clarity and Precision
Meet Kathrin Gebhardt, Product Owner of Procedure, a core Keystone software module trusted by energy leaders such as Aker BP and ExxonMobil. Known internally for her calm command of complexity, Kathrin plays a central role in translating customer needs into clear, actionable product solutions for safety-critical operations.
As Product Owner, she maintains a constant overview of customer requirements, development progress, and value-driven prioritisation. Her focus is simple but demanding: identify the decisions that unlock the most impact, fast.
“I love seeing the evolution from idea to product — especially the moment when you realise it’s genuinely making our customers’ day easier.”
A Career Built at the Intersection of Business and Technology
Kathrin’s professional journey began in Wolfsburg, Germany, where she started her career at Volkswagen. After studying economics, she returned to VW to manage IT projects within the finance department, developing a strong foundation in both business processes and technical delivery.
This combination sparked a long-term interest in technology-driven problem solving — an interest that would later shape her role in product management and digital transformation.
In 2021, Kathrin moved to Norway, driven by love. Today, she lives in Stavanger with her Norwegian partner and their daughter.

Product Ownership in a High-Growth, Customer-Centric Environment
Before joining Keystone, Kathrin worked as a Project Owner at Easee, gaining hands-on experience in a high-growth tech environment. She took on the role of Product Owner for Procedure at Keystone in December 2024.
What attracted her to Keystone was not a single product feature, but a way of working: autonomy, trust, and a pragmatic approach to product development. She values the freedom to structure plans, documentation, and priorities in ways that serve both the development team and the end user.
In practice, this means:
- Continuously tracking customer feedback
- Balancing urgency versus long-term impact
- Distinguishing between true software bugs and process gaps
- Making trade-offs visible by bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders
Her approach ensures decisions are understood — and stick.
Life at Keystone: Collaboration, Trust, and Momentum
Kathrin thrives in Keystone’s Stavanger office, where the central location simplifies daily logistics and shared lunches create space for informal cross-team connection. The open office layout, glass walls, and flat organisational structure make collaboration easy and friction low.
Questions don’t get stuck in layers. If needed, Kathrin can simply walk across the hall and discuss priorities directly with the CEO. The option to work from home when needed reinforces a culture built on trust, flexibility, and ownership.
